GOVERNOR – TENNESSEE

• Tenn. Constitution, Article 3, Section 3, (4 year term)

• Must be a citizen of the U.S. and a citizen of this state for (7) years prior to the election.

• Must be at least (30) years of age

• Must conform to all general qualifications

 

STATE SENATOR

• Tenn. Const., Article 2, Sec. 5(a) & 9, (2 year term)

• Must be a citizen of the United States

• Must be at least (21) years of age

• Must reside in the state for at least (3) years

• Must reside in the county at least (1) year prior to the election

• Must be a registered voter of the district

• Must conform to all general qualifications

 

STATE REPRESENTATIVE

• Tenn. Constitution, Article 2, Sec. 6(a) & 10, (4 year term)

• Must be a citizen of the United States

• Must be at least (30) years of age

• Must reside in the state for at least (3) years

• Must reside in the county at least (1) year prior to the election and be a registered voter of the district.

• Must conform to all general qualifications
